Catherine (Cathy) Geldard is a fiddle player and composer from the Shetland Islands now based in the North East of England. She is currently performing as part of the Monster Ceilidh Band and RE:VULVA mixing contemporary sounds and techniques with traditional folk tunes.

 

Catherine is also in high demand as a fiddle tutor, working both within schools and privately across the North East. More recently she has taken on running school Ceilidh Bands at Newcastle Royal Grammar School and Dame Allens.
